GENERAL CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Pacemaker
- Diabetes
- Pregnancy
- Prescription anticoagulants (e.g. Coumadin)
- Any medical condition that slows healing or prevents blood clotting
- Predisposition to keloids
- HIV
- Viral hepatitis
- Cancer

LOCAL CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Metal implant
- Rosacea (in active phase or with severe acne)
- Infectious acne
- Herpes simplex (cold sore)

*** Electrocoagulation uses a very low-intensity current, with minimal skin reactions and no scarring.
